How much do you pay: The users don’t have to pay any charge to download or use the application. The service would cost you nothing, except the basic GPRS charges, that are charged by your operator.

The trend setter here is BPL Mobile with its Jaadu32 recharge. Great plan, which allows you to stay connected @ 50paise. Yes that’s true, all calls and SMS at just 50 paise. Here is some information and the activation details of the same:

Reading between the lines: The conditions are that if one is already in a discounted plan and happens to recharge this one, he/she would be deactivated from the old plan and activated with Jaadu32. Lifetime subscriber at the end of tariff validity would move to his original plan and Non-lifetime subscriber at the end of tariff validity would move to base tariff plan.

Better known as a partially automated device that can play stored music at the insertion of a coin, the Jukebox has now gone mobile. BPL Mobile, launched Jukebox allowing its users to listen to approximately 10,000 songs 24×7. The service has been tagged at Rs.25 per month as subscription charge and the browsing would cost you 50 Paise during the day (9 to9) and 20 Paise in the remaining hours.

Users can also download the monotones of the songs they like @ Rs.10 per download. The service is also equipped with an automatic system, which would exclude the music you do not like, thus making browsing easy. This means the genres you like will be given top priority during listing. The system also allows you to continue sessions where you ended last time.

Overall the service is something refreshing but it is commendable on the part of service providers who have sneaked in another way to make money.

BPL Mobile

BPL’s service basket already provides Voice SMS to its customers. The company has taken a step ahead by launching the same service on an international scale. This service includes Voice Messages being sent by BPL users all across the world, whatever the time zone may be. The company will be partnering with Kirusa, which has its headquarters in New Jersey and is the leading Voice Service provider in the world.

Just to give you’ll a description of the service, the Indian customer would dial *00, followed by the international number and then record the message. To send the message, all that the user has to do is hang up and the receiver will receive the message as audio. As for the charges, they will be out soon. But BPL has, with this launch, announced that current BPL users can avail of unlimited Voice Messaging service nationally for a charge of Rs.50 per month.

BPL Mobile users both postpaid and prepaid can use this new service which allows BPL Mobile to BPL Mobile calls at 10 paise per minute. The service comes for a monthly rental of Rs 49 and can be activated by any subscriber except the lifetime validity subscribers.

This add-on service is a great way to reduce your monthly mobile bill if your maximum calls are in the BPL Mobile circle. To activate this scheme postpaid subscribers need to SMS TEN to 50505 and prepaid subscribers need to send the same SMS TEN to 50800. If you have any other discount packs activated on your number then do not activate this scheme as it will replace your existing calling pack.

This postpaid plan by BPL may not be well publicized in the open, but it is placed in the brochures available at the BPL stores. This one’s called the Loop 299. As the name goes, this plan charges users with a monthly rent of Rs.299 and provides a bundle of benefits too. Let’s start off with the other charges. This plan provides CLIP charges free of cost, so you have saved Rs.75 there. Apart from this users can avail of Rs.299 of free calls to other BPL numbers.

As for the call rates, one can call BPL numbers @ 10Paise and all other calls are charged at a flat rate of 40Paise. After hooking up with this scheme you can SMS nationally at 50Paise, now that’s a great deal.

We say: The plan is a must use and one of those that you must get your hands on a soon as possible. The plan doesn’t only provide full value for money, but also provides all round benefit through slashed call rates and free services. Don’t wait, just grab this one soon.

Every operator is trying to welcome 2008 in a special way. And BPL Mobile is doing the same thing. They have announced that all pre-paid users can now enjoy calls and SMS anywhere in India at a standard rate of Re. 1.

The Mumbai based service provider has just doubled its network and wants users to test the same for them. Thus the operator has unveiled a prepaid trial pack named as the “Network Trial Pack” for users to try the new upgraded services. The pack offers the user a free talk time of Rs. 1200 which is spread over a period of 120 days, which equals to 5 minutes offered per day. It is priced at Rs. 150 and has a validity for 60 days.

As for the charges, the “free calls” are charged at Rs. 1.99 and STD is charged at Rs. 2.49. However, the free talk time can’t be carried forward to the next day. If satisfied, the user can pay an additional Rs. 299 to get this pack converted to a lifetime prepaid scheme.

Though it is tough for people to understand the contents of the scheme, the basic objective of BPL to promote its Try and Buy strategy is evident.

BPL Mobile

BPL Mobile has launched its WAP(Mobile) portal on the occasion of Ramzan a holy ocassion followed by people. In this service BPL is providing its users benefits of alerts for Sehri Ke Awqaat and Iftaar Ke Awqaat timings to indicate to the subscribers the respective times of starting and breaking of their fast during the entire month. Prayers can also be downloaded at affordable costs of Rs. 3 per download and a special Namaaz Application that render Male and female prayers virtually are also available. This comes for a price tag of Rs. 30 a month.

Apart from this BPL has also inculcate the religious aspects of prayers and images into its offerings by offering downloads of Quavalis, Images, Videos and Wallpapers to add to the auspicious month of Ramadan. We think that BPL has managed to strike the right notes at the right moment.
