Gallery review is back. We have reviewed a couple of galleries before and this time it was BPL’s turn to be scrutinized.
To start off, the entry wasn’t that great. The gallery is pretty small compared to its counterpart, Vodafone which is located on the opposite side of the road. Ok. So no one attended to us for quite some time and we passed some time flipping through some brochures. Got a few cool new schemes, which will be featured in a day or two. After flipping through the brochures, we were asked about any problems and were guided to the necessary counter. Once there the posed questions were answered well and got most of the information we were looking out for, thus passing the knowledge test. The ambience was good enough to wait for some time and with about 5 counters to get your problem solved and not much rush, you wouldn’t have to wait much out here. The employees were well dressed, courteous, well mannered and did their job well.

We say

The whole experience wasn’t that disappointing. All was good and satisfactory. But in the competitive world of telecom, BPL needs to go that extra mile to ensure customer delight and keep new customers ticking in. Overall we rate it a 3.5 on 5.

The gallery caters to customers of Andheri and Vile Parle. And that’s the reason for the chaos at this place.

As we entered, it was just another day at the Gallery with people waiting in queue for their number to be called out. Yes thats how it is done at the Gallery. The gallery has an adequate number of people assisting the visitors. The token system is in place (extremely necessary for this gallery), without which the Gallery would be a mess. Assistants are always at hand and manage small tasks like solving small problems and answering your questions on schemes and offers. These guys are of great help. Moving on, the Gallery has about 8-10 counters and an executive at each counter. The Gallery follows a dress code, which was followed by the executives and thus was pleasing to the eyes. The crowd won’t be much of a problem for you as the AC and the adequate seating takes care of that.

There’s a billing counter and people who assist the executives to check all your documents in case of new connections. The staff was well aware of the schemes and other related information. The environment is kept as good as possible by having good decor, which keep your frustration levels down in case you are one of the hot headed persons who don’t like to stand in queues for something.

Overall, we rate it at 4 on a scale of 5.

Tele Gyaan has been providing you with the latest buzz from the telecom sector. To add some punch to the content, we have our new section, where we review the service centers, we being the normal customers. The objective is to show how good the service providers are when it comes to personally serving the customers. This week the center under our microscope is Reliance’s service center at Borivali. The center is located close to Borivali station (west) on Chandavarkar Lane.

Starting off, the first good thing about the center was that there were very few customers in the center. This lead to a mixed feeling. Was Reliance so good at its service that nobody came in to the center? An empty service center also gives negative vibes, as a normal center would have no place to stand or breathe. As for the looks, the center looked unappealing from outside and also the atmosphere inside was dull and boring, the main reason being the unattractive interiors and the poor ambience. The whole feeling of the center wasn’t great and not worth spending time in. There were 3 attendants for bill payments and customer queries. The seating arrangements were inadequate and other arrangements were not satisfactory, like for example, the lighting and cooling were not well managed. The language used to communicate was Hindi, but a good aspect being, the attendant was well versed with the information. The overall appearance of the attendants in uniforms and service provided by them helped Reliance reach a satisfactory level of service.

Here we can see that the basic idea of providing the information is being satisfied, but not much importance is being given to the augmented aspects, like the ambience and the feel of the center, which are being highly demanded and are the judging factor for services.

We Say

Overall, our experience till we reached the counter wasn’t good at all, but it was compensated by the service received at the counter. So all thanks to the attendant, Reliance’s service receives a satisfactory grade in our review. We give it a 3 on 5.
