BPL’s strive for customer delight

BPL is trying its best at regaining its lost customers by launching new attractive schemes. Here is one, which BPL calls its Delight scheme. The scheme offers a monthly tariff i.e. basic rent of Rs. 150 and a clip charge of Rs. 50. The call charges are 60 paise to all numbers, both cellphone and fixed line. The SMS charges are Re.1 to all local numbers and Rs.2 and 5 for national and International SMS.

Overall the scheme is nice, but not that good to attract new customers. The possibility of its current customers changing over to this plan is high. Thus to try and attract new customers and turn non-BPL users to BPL, it has an option, which somehow may attract new customers. The plan provides an option of paying Rs. 777 as full years rent. The rent thus comes upto approximately Rs. 65 per month. Now this option is extremely beneficial to the customers be it a current BPL user or a non-BPL user. The rent is non refundable, but it eliminates all possible activation and documentation charges. Over and above this, the customer doesn’t have to keep any amount as an initial deposit.

We say

On the whole the plan is irresistible and thus hard to avoid giving a thought to. But major network glitches have made the name of the service provider lose its popularity and a major customer base. Once BPL succeeds in turning around this reputation into a positive one, such schemes would prove to be the best in the market. Thus this plan receives a thumb up from our side and thus we would recommend this one for a person who is currently using BPL as well as ones who would not have a problem paying 777 at a go and sticking to BPL for a while.
