This just in. NTT DOCOMO who owns a 26 percent stake in Tata Teleservices have announced a name and branding of Tata’s GSM service. It will be known as Tata DOCOMO and will launch its services in southern India this month. They also have a website which will apparently be accessible after 1PM IST.
While the Japanese might find Docomo brand name to be a hit, only assuming so, its use in the Indian market is kinda clumsy !
it cant b said as clumpsy but i think tata docomo wil surely work in the India market as the pricing strategy they are planning and the VAS like free voice mails,timed sms it wil b easy for them to position themselves..and also they are portraying tata docomo as youthful as wel as an energetic product by this the youth wil b more attracted…their website has lots of information about it (http://www.tatadocomo.com/)..its a pretty cool offer according to me…
the pay per second is makin the customr attract tata docomo.. docomo has already captured the market wit a great hype..lets hope the plan n the tariffs are for lifetime..
