How telecom service providers push for postpaid connections?

I happened to visit a local Hutch Gallery Shop to convert my postpaid connection to a prepaid one. The scheme which I was currently on was a good one, but one of the major reasons for changing into prepaid was that it was difficult for me to keep a tab on my callings and I ultimately ended up paying more. As I waited for my turn to come, one of the executives approached me and asked that “Why do I want to convert it to prepaid?” Determined to go prepaid I explained him my plight. He listened to me attentively and replied back that if he could show me another scheme?

Reluctantly, I obliged and here I am, still going on with my postpaid connection. The scheme given to me was from a Corporate Plan (only companies are given these plans).

Check out the tariffs after the break:

Monthly Rental – Rs. 200

Local
Free Minutes – Rs. 200
H2H – Rs. 0.30/min
H2M – Rs. 0.30/min
H2LL/WLL – Rs. 0.50/min
SMS – First 200 Local SMS free after that Rs. 0.50/message

National
Hutch to calls outside Maharashtra – Rs.2/min
Nat SMS – Rs. 0.50/message

Hutch again succeeded in keeping me with their postpaid service as postpaid is the area wherein the cellular service providers mint money. And for those who are unhappy with their current plans, make sure to visit their local customer care and they will surely lure you with better plans to keep your postpaid connection active.

@shipraa: that’s what. no one cares about you being a student, you just need to be a postpaid user for some time and then ask (rather threaten ;)) that you want to go prepaid. Voila! they’ll do it…for sure.

There’s no need to threaten you just request for the corporate plan and u are done …! i too had been to the hutch gallery to migrate to prepaid and had a similar situation .. i was shown different plans so that i retain to postpaid ..finally they showed me GK75 plan wherein the rent is only Rs75 wid no clip charges …calls to hutch and bpl @ re.1 and rest @ rs2. all promo packs can be activated . i selected this plan coz i dont use my no. much for outgoings as i have migrated to other providers. Using two cell is a lil prob but who cares !! chao !!
