BPL Mobile is offering a new prepaid recharge option known as Jaadu (Magic) Recharge. The Jaadu Recharge’s USP is that it gives double the talktime and lower call rates. Interesting isn’t it? Well to say the truth, it is just a rosy picture.
Lower call rates – Local calls @ Rs. 1.49/min
Local SMS @ Re.1
One recharge denomination available – Rs. 49.
Jaadu Recharge can be done only once a month
No other offers are applicable if this recharge is availed
Jaadu Recharge is one of the luring recharges I have seen for some time albeit with many loop holes. The first thing that turns me away is that only one denomination is available i.e. Rs. 49 in which there is a talktime of Rs.100. Of course, BPL is there to do business but such a low denomination would be only beneficial whose primary objective is to receive calls and seldom make calls. Next is the once per month recharge limitation. A customer cannot recharge the Jaadu pack more than once a month. Lastly, if Jaadu Recharge is activated all the other schemes and discount packs on the number gets deactivated. Ahh! What a waste. I wouldn’t be happy if I have to make calls to cellphones at Rs. 1.49/min compared to what I am currently being charged at just Re.1 for a nominal monthly rent. Though calling on landline is cheaper than what I have on my number.
This recharge can be really helpful to those who do not have any schemes or discount packs activated and of course whose monthly usage varies below the digit figure.
