Airtel has always been using television as one of the important media vehicles. With media space becoming expensive day by day Airtel has taken a step in the right direction. It has managed to ink a deal with the Star network spanning over a period of twelve months. The deal provides Airtel with media space on the Star network at rates which would be mutually agreed upon and on the other side the deal provides Star network with the assurance of the space being taken.
As such it’s a deal, which works wonders for the two giants. Considering the fact that Star’s network consists of channles which are viewed by varied groups of consumers, Airtel would have a good chance of exposure to a wide consumer base. The deal is a clear example of dual advantage deals, more of which would be seen in the years to come.
