Vodafone Corporate Plan 299

June 12, 2008 By Rohan Kamath 3 Comments

Vodafone has unleashed new plans to suit all kinds of user categories. One of the plans, which falls into the Corporate Plan is now available to all users. It’s called Vodafone Corp 299 Plan. This plan is similar to the flat rate 50paise calling and SMS scheme, but Vodafone has added some stuff and made it better than the 50paise plan. Here are the details:

  • Monthly Rent: Rs.299
  • Free usage: 250 minutes to local numbers
  • All local calls: 50paise
  • STD: Rs.1.5
  • Local SMS: Re.1
  • National SMS: Rs.2

We say: Effectively the rent being paid is just Rs.50, because of the free usage of Rs.250. And the call rates are possibly the lowest. (One can also activate the V2V 30paise calling by paying Rs.30 per month). As such this plan would be a sureshot hit and would see many people changing to this scheme.

1.With This plan what about Caller Id (clip) charges?? is that FREE? or at Rs.75 per month,if they charged for CLIP then the effective rent will be Rs.125 (299-75-250).
2.LOCAL SMS @Rs.1 is VERY HIGH.,NATIONAL SMS AT RS.2 ALSO VERY HIGH,LIKE U CAN MAKE NATIONAL CALL AT 1.50 BUT IF SMS THEN IT COST AT Rs.2 ???

3.STD CALL AT Rs.1.50 IS BIT HIGHER in Compair to MTNL’s STD CALL CHARGES AT 1.30.

Its not the BEST DEAL bcoz just for 50paisa calling,The minium Monthly commitment will RS.300+ and more….

CLIP is free!! But the sms charges are really steep! Aint there any way to reduce the sms tariffs?
Prefer the GK 299 plan. They give 300 local mins V2V free and other calls at 60p. STD @ re.1. SMS (local or national) @ 50p.
