MTNL always used to carry this ‘government-owned operator’ image with itself thanks to the limited services that were available to its users. But now, the operator is trying to do away with that image by launching with new services. This week it’s MTNL Live, a live Photo Sharing Service. Here are some of your queries answered:
Function: To store and share photos (with your photos) clicked from your phone on the space provided.
Cost: The photos are uploaded through MMS and the cost is Rs. 2 plus the data transfer charges. For browsing photos, the cost is 1paise per KB.
How to activate: Send a SMS to 55563 with the phone numbers of the friends you want to share your photos with.
How to upload: Send your MMS to me@mobshare.in and the photo would be uploaded.
We say: The service is quite good considering the leap MTNL has taken. The rates to surf these photos is quite cheap, but given the size of the images that would be uploaded, this one can be a bit misleading. Overall, we liked the idea.

This service sounds good. Used it and found to work on all operators and i have only 2Re cost to send MMS.
There is a mobile version also at m.mobshare.in where i can access my account.
However, my friends in MTNL Delhi are not able to access the service. I think its a bug in the system.
