Vodafone targets price conscious Indian market – 666 way

October 1, 2007 By Rohan Kamath Leave a Comment

Vodafone ZTE

Blame Reliance when they brought a mobile revolution by providing phones at dirt-cheap prices and the competition suffered badly. And with the same intention, Vodafone, Hutch’s new Avatar is all set to sell cheap phones with an active connection. They are ready with its Rs. 666 scheme, which has the same ingredients of a Vodafone branded cellphone and a connection, but definitely at a better price.

The handsets would be provided by China’s ZTE, who also wants to set up a shop in India. The cellphones are assumed to be a no-frill one and would be only meant for talking and messaging. We can expect a lot of new stuff from the giant in the weeks to come and we make it a point to bring the same to you.
