Ok, we don’t know how consumers think about Airtel but one company does reckon they are the best service provider, not in India but the whole Asia-Pacific region. Frost and Sullivan, a US based telecom research and consultancy firm recently bestowed India’s largest telecom operator with this tag.

In a company statement this Tuesday, Bharti Airtel’s chief executive and joint managing director Manoj Kohli said, “Our company has been recognized for its overall service quality and has been adjudged the service provider of the year in the “Best of the Best” category. The awards recognise Bharti Airtel’s commitment to technology and business innovation, and globally benchmarked quality of services.”

Amongst others, Vietnam’s telecom major Viettel has been named as the best emerging markets’ service provider. Unfortunately, no other Indian telecom service provider made it to these awards.

    I am an Airtel user and even i believe that Vodafone’s customer service is way better than that of Airtel. Airtel’s customer service sucks.

    Overall, Airtel must be the best TELECOM operator in India. Sad, but true. Vodafone may be a better WIRELESS operator (debatable), but it doesn’t offer landline services. It’s like the general election. You must pick one candidate, but all are bad, so you pick the least bad and call him the “best.”

    Hi, I’s the person who was dyeing to be a part of Airtel. I usually fight with my friends saying that Airtel is the best service provider. But as years past, I found that Vodafone is the best service provider in India. Their Services are unbeaten. I understand that Vodafone has no network coverage than Airtel, But still I always prefer Vodafone. If u walk into any of the Vodafone store you will come to know how good they are in customer service (Call center also) and u feel u r a customer of a ESTEEMED organization. But Airtel outlets executives will literally fight with the customers who had come for assistance. I myself faced this in Airtel outlet which is in Koramangala, Bangalore.
    When comes to call connectivity Vodafone takes the 1st place. U get the best voice clarity when compare to any of the networks accross india.
    Customer service, customer satisfaction, Call/network connectivity is absolutly fine in Vodafone. I feel proud to be a part of Vodafone. And i dont think i’ll change my mind even though many new/international companies comes to india.

    Thanks to Vodafone.

    @Sujay

    I do not know if Vodafone is the best or not, but Airtel definately has the worst customer service (call centers as well as their relationship centers). They treat their customers as trash and i am saying this out of personal experience.
