Often people prefer to stay away from CDMA connections just because of the fact that they don’t get the cellphone they want. Well it is true that one would not get the best pick, but you may get a good deal. That is what Tata Indicom is trying to do through it’s Cell Phone Selector on it’s site. This service allows you to choose the functions you want in your Cellphone and the site will do the rest for you.
This is how it works:
You first just click on the functions you wish to have in your phone. One can choose from options like a normal display or a colored one, Camera, Bluetooth, Radio, MP3 player, PDA, etc. Basically you will find all possible main functions here. As and when you click on the selections, you will see that the system is actually eliminating phones which don’t fit your needs and at the end, what’s left are the best possible cellphones with the preferences you chose.
The operator has gone a step further and added a comparison service to the page. Here, once you have shortlisted on the phones, you can drag and drop three phones and then compare them. What you can see next is the comparison chart on criteria such as:
Is the phone available on prepaid/ postpaid, Screen resolutions, Camera resolution, Display size, MMS facility, Operating System, Stand by time, and what not. We tried a comparison between Moto Q and the Samsung Duo, the two were compared on 37 points, giving us an excellent comparison and making the job easier.
