Vodafone’s community members are already disgruntled about the current service but now here comes a first hand experience from our reader, Mr. Anish. He has sent an e-mail to Vodafone as well as TeleGyaan to make us aware of the his plight. Read it after the break.
I am currently under Corporate Spl-Talk 199 plan. I was not happy with the plan and hence visited the Vodafone Gallery, Malad West, to change my talk plan. I insisted that I would like to switch back to Prepaid or have the Corporate FV199 plan. The customer exec (Mohit) said that he will need to take permission from higher authorities for this plan and asked me to visit 2 days later, on my second visit (19th Nov) I was offered the Corp FV199 plan. The new Talk Plan was to be activated from the next billing cycle (6th Dec) as said by a customer exec. named Mohit. The service request number for the same is 328640718. Infact I also received an SMS from Vodafone that I my service request would be looked in to before 28th Nov.
I waited, but did not receive any reply from Vodafone. My billing cycle, which is 6th of every month also passed by but there was no change in the talk plan. Calling up 111, the customer executive said that you need to put a mail requesting the same to corporate assist. I sent a mail on this Wednesday, and received an Auto-Reply from Vodafone that the request would be considered within 2 working days. As usual, the lame customer service of Vodafone came in picture and even after 3 working days there were no signs of anyone from Vodafone calling me up.
Eventually fed up of the service and to take a last chance, I called up 111 this morning and spoke to a customer exec named Daniel. This guy takes all the necessary information from me and puts me on hold for more than 20 minutes and then simply disconnects the line. Calling up again I speak with a customer exec named Shabana, explaining my Vodafone woes from start. She calmly says that the request has been considered today and you will hear from us within 3 working days. The new request number that I received (just now) is 349384344.
Itβs been almost a month now that Vodafone is making me run from pillar to post. Such a lethargic service and lame excuses was never expected by a company that holds a repute internationally.
Fed up of the service, I have decided to switch back to Prepaid. This at least will reduce my interaction and queries with your customer support who just escalate issues further. Actually, this mail also does not guarantee any response from Vodafone, but just thought to give it a try to check whether people at higher levels respond to customer experiences or the contact details are provided just for the name sake on the website.
P.S: Hoping that mobile number portability comes in early next year so that can make a switch from Vodafone.
UPDATE: Vodafone did listen! Mr. Anish messaged back to let us know that his plan is now activated.

the best way to keep in touch is thru sendin letters…..this old fashioned thing is very helpful instead of these irritating mobile palns… mobile operators r fooling people
Many People have migrated from pre to post and many have taken fresh connection after verbal assuarances from the store staff that they can activate the said corp fv 199 but when ppl turn up after 3billing cycles they say its not available any more … but the fact is they give it only when u have 3 connections in ur name. This just happened to me today, when i went 2 the borivali store to get my bro’s no. migrated to the plan coz his no. is on my name. I directly req to give the promised plan they said its not available and u can get only if u have 3 nos. on ur name. (huh ??) but i didnt have to worry then coz i have 3 nos on my name π the executives face turned red … hahaa … she asked me to write a letter abt mention all my 3 nos and on which no. do i want 2 corp plan. ( 1 no. is already active wid this plan ) ..as soon as i started writn the letter she checked my account details and said that its not been 3 months yet sir …. wtf ?? it was supposed to be 3 billin cycles right ?? I heard a big NO … its 3 months from the date of activation SIR….you can visit again on 4th of January sir .. but she assured me that i will get it since i have 3 nos. on my name.. and she insisted i directly meet her for the same π π ( Moral : you need to have 3 connection…so if u dont have 3 … buy new connections and take this plan on the old connection :D:D new way to increase customer base :D:D )
A new customer and a new reason. These guys really have to be creative to think of new reasons!!!
Vodafone has already has created hatred among users. The vodafone brand has certainly lost its charm. Just let the no. portability begin , thus starts the fall of vodafone subscribers across the country. Airtel on the other hand along with few others are benefiting with the vodafone behaviour π
I am currently on corp fv 199 plan and have asked to change to another corp plan….In the start the advisors assured that it would be done in 3 working days..after it passed was informed it will be done from the next billing cycle….and now they say will be 10 working days….i have no hopes that it will be done in this period as well…I will just wait for it and then will change to prepaid….dissappointed with vodafone..
Every advisor will give you a different answer each time to ring….
