Platinum Plan 350 from Tata Indicom

Tata Indicom Logo

Platinum Plan 350 is a new full value postpaid plan from Tata Indicom. For a monthly rental of Rs 350, it provides Rs. 350 worth of free talktime for making calls to any local or STD numbers.

Once, the user has reached the threshold limit of free calling, every additional local call will be charged at 50p/min and STD calls at Re 1/min. One thing that the plan lacks is that it does not provide any free SMS’s, but considering Tata Indicom’s cheap SMS rates, that wouldn’t be an issue here.

Go Lifetime Postpaid @ Rs.999

Have you ever thought of not paying rental at all for your postpaid connection. Rare situation one would say, but that has been made possible by Vodafone’s Lifetime Postpaid Plan called Vodafone Lifetime @ 999. This plan waives the monthly rent on the payment of Rs.999. Here are the plan details:

  • Monthly Rent: Nil
  • Local Calls: 80paise
  • STD calls: Rs.1.3
  • Local SMS: Re.1
  • National SMS: Re.2

Conditions to this scheme are: One can’t activate any kind of offer on this plan except night SMS (V2V) @ 10paise by paying Rs. 25 per month.

We say: The condition of not being able to activate any offer may turn down users to change over to this scheme. Otherwise, if you are fine with calls @ 80paise, this plan is great for you.

Week Round up

MTNL’s giveaway of free SIM cards to existing MTNL customers has turned out to be a huge success for the company. Initially the registrations were required to be done from their website but now are accepting registrations via SMS too. This move will give a spurt in the demand as many users are plain lazy or not that net savvy.

A major announcement this week was the introduction of Apple iPhone 2.0. Though many countries will be getting this masterpiece on July 11, unfortunately India is not one of them. Our major operators have announced their intentions that it will land in India later this year.

We have featured a new Vodafone plan for the corporates valuing Rs. 299 per month. This is not a full value plan but the free calls are enough for an average user. Next is the BPL Mobile’s 199 Full Value plan which is definitely better than the existing Full Value plans we have seen.

Finally, MTNL will be unveiling a Rs. 49 pack for its post paid users. This will enable the users to make local calls for just 50 paise.

BPL Mobile’s 199 Full Value

Mumbai’s BPL Mobile has always been more or less dormant in the mega subscriber race of the operators. But with barrage of calls from their Direct Selling Agents (DSA), they are desperately seeking new customers. So when a DSA called me up for a BPL Mobile connection, she said that I was eligible for their new post paid plan. Being an Airtel customer for many years, I can’t get it how was I eligible but the plan she offered me was enticing. Here it goes:
